We provides basic slide and negative scanning of good quality, similar to and usually better than if you were viewing them on a large projection screen. We use the HP Scanjet G4050. Each image has perfectly cropped edges.
Negatives and Slides are .67 per image. Included is cleaning (with a soft non-abrasive cloth), cropping, dating and word tagging. For 250 or more the price drops to .57 per image and 500 or more is .47 per image.
If you desire a scanning company that provides extra corrective services with all the bells and whistles, I recommend DigMyPics at www.digmypics.com. We are happy to assist you finding who can best meet your needs, even if we're not the one :)
Added Cost:
- MN sales tax
- Saving them to a CD or DVD is FREE!
- Thumb Drive or External Hard Drive depends on the current cost at the store. You may also bring your own and I will put them on there for free.
- $20 to making a Slide-show movie using Smilebox.com ($5 for each additional copy)
- Cropping of scanned photos, optional service Stacked photos and and removable photos from albums are scanned with the Kodak i1220. It is a fast scanner! That's how we're able to get thousands done so quickly. This sometimes leaves a thin black around edges (see photo above). Most people do not mind as they can crop the ones they wish on their homes computers. If you wish to have cropped edges, I am more than happy to do each one at the rate of $20 per 100 photos.
